Up until 9 weeks ago, tea time meant a nice cup of green tea or Darjeeling broken orange pekoe, but now I’ve allowed myself to become swept up in a whole new world of tees – the long wooden types to fit my King Cobra oversized driver. (I need all the help I can get.) When I told my neighbor that Kenny and I played 9 holes yesterday at 4 o’clock, she asked, quite matter-of-factly, “4 a.m?” Of course not, but she and her husband have been known to leave their house at about 4:30 or so to beat the heat and the crowds. I doubt we’ll be forming a foursome with them anytime soon. Golf has neatly found its way into my life on top of tennis a couple of times a week and running five days. And of course I leave ample time for blogging and my never-ending quest for an agent or publisher. I sure hope the memoir is picked up before I finish my next book project which is just getting underway. In the meantime, I just finished reading Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons – The Modern Fundamentals of Golf. This sport sounds like a keeper.
